Board of Directors

Cory Herc

Cory Herc comes from a strong background in community development, holding his first seat on a board of directors for a community food cooperative at age 19 while pursuing his studies in Halifax. Discovering there a passion for working to empower communities and build capacity for change, he has worked with numerous non-profits and community organizations across multiple provinces, until setting down roots in Moncton in 2011.

In the past decade here, he has established himself as a connector, collaborator, and capacity-builder, working with organizations such as La Bikery, Legs for Literacy, Centre Culturel Aberdeen, and the national impact funding program #RisingYouth, where he helped develop many of its foundational partnerships. He currently works with O Strategies as a consultant, and is eager to bring his skills to bear as President of the Board of Directors at La Bikery.

Dominique Gaudet

Dominique Gaudet grew up by the sea in Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Qc. After studying in Montreal and several backpacking trips to Europe, the Middle East, and America, she chose to settle down in Moncton in the summer of 2012. Always interested in culture and in the outdoors, Dominique divides her time between her work in a bookstore and the single tracks on the East Coast of Canada.

In 2020, she co-founded the women’s biking group Les Dusty Ladies, a beer league that promotes the empowerment of women through the sport of mountain biking. She is also an advocate for the non-for-profit Mountain Bike Atlantic.

In 2019, Dominique took the opportunity to join La Bikery’s board of directors to get involved in her host community.

Dominique Gaudet
